Instagram post 17845716838786233 Isn’t this spotted hyena absolutely beautiful? 😍 Spotted hyenas are also known as laughing hyenas. Why? Because these highly intelligent creatures communicate with yells, whoops and cackles - some of which can be heard almost 5 km away!
Would you like to hear their laugh? ✥⁣⁣

Instagram post 17854905007630314 Did you know that cheetahs are social animals? Cheetahs are usually found in groups, consisting of either a mother and her young, siblings (who stay together for around six months after leaving the mother) or a coalition of males who live and hunt together. Adult females, however, tend to be solitary and only meet with males to mate.

Instagram post 17847612877741836 What a beautiful caracal! ❤️
Caracals are most noticeable due to their ear tassels. These are the long black tufts of hair on the top of the ears. Debate is ongoing about their function. Some say it helps them blend in with grass while others say that it keeps flies away from their face. The most widely accepted theory is that they twitch them so they can communicate with each other. What do you think about these theory’s? ✥⁣⁣

Instagram post 18115175683031192 Cuteness overload! Curious fact: Newborn sea otter pups are so buoyant they can’t immediately dive for food. But they still love to have a nap on their mums belly. Sea otter moms typically only give birth to 1 pup. The gestation is taking about 6 months (2 months delayed implantation + 4 months pregnancy). The Pups begin to dive and forage at about 2 months. Sea otter moms typically nurse and care for their pups for about 6 months before weaning them.
